The Doors’ Self-Produced ‘Feast of Friends’ Doc Set For Fall ’14 Release

A documentary about one of the biggest, and most influential Rock bands of the 60’s and early 70’s, The Doors, is finally set to have an official release. This is no ordinary doc as it was actually produced by the band members themselves about their 1968 summer tour, but it never saw the light of day on a mass scale because it was not completed at the time. The film was funded by the band themselves, until Morrison’s troubles in Miami.

The Doors – Feast Of Friends was directed by Paul Ferrara and it features concert footage and off-stage commentary. The release will include bonus features plus The Doors Are Open, a 1968 British documentary on the band’s final appearance at London’ Roundhouse, and The End, which focuses on an epic live performance of the song of the same name in Toronto in August 1967.

Feast Of Dreams is coming November 10th, 2014.
