We don’t typically share news for news’ sake, but this is big… Arguably the best band of the 21st Century, The Strokes, might be getting back to work on a new album in January 2015!

Julian Casablancas was being interviewed by the BBC 6 Music Breakfast Show and he told them: “In January we might meet up and work on some ideas. Everyone is psyched. Everything is in a really cool place.”

About their working relationship and their return to the live stage since a hiatus starting in 2011: “We haven’t started on anything… But it was cool and we played some shows and the vibe is finally… I don’t know if we ever had that good a working friendship foundation [in our] work relationship, but now we finally have that. We’ll always have the creative vibe.”

I don’t know about you guys but this is nothing but good news for (us) fans of the band. In the meantime, catch JC during his Tyranny Tour with The Voidz.
