Just a day after kicking off the 2014 MTV VMA’s, we get Charli XCX’s new visuals for Sucker cut, “Break The Rules.” The British singer-songwriter takes us back to high school where all she wants to do is break the rules (I see what she did there…) and the video focuses on that bit of mischief and culminates with a wild prom plus cameos from Rose McGowan and Chloe Chaidez.
Charli herself says about the video:
“I was inspired by movies like” Jawbreaker” and “Carrie” for the “Break the Rules” video. I never went to prom when I was at school so this was kind of me living out my weird fantasy of what prom would be like in my head. I asked Rose McGowan to be in the video and I never ever thought she would say yes, but she did… so she came to prom too… And she trashed it ;)”
