See a Teen-Aged Kanye West Rap at a New York Record Store

If there’s one thing that was always for certain was that Kanye West was a notable act right from the start, and today we get evidence of that via footage of a 19-year old Yeezy rapping at an NYC record store.

The clip is from 1996 and recorded at New York’s Fat Beats record, which catered to the indie scene by allowing aspiring MC’s to hop on the mic and show off their rhymes. Unleashed by DJ Eclipse to Complex, the clip sees Lil Kanye rap about Chicago, Alanis Morissette, and how he started from “the future.” See it above.
