A few weeks ago we got the first look at new alt-J material with “Hunger Of The Pine,” the lead release (and Miley Cyrus-sampling track) from their sophomore effort, This Is All Yours. The new track is called “Left Hand Free” and it’s a bit different from what alt-J fans typically expect from the band. While they’re known for more of a Prog sound, this one sounds a lot more like a vintage Rock track. A fan (“vivstagram”) comments on the SoundCloud stream that it sounds like if “alt-J and The Black Keys had a baby,” and I kind of agree but I’d also like to add that Cake also comes to mind in this one.
