If you’d have to know one thing about my musical tastes is that you simply can’t go wrong with playing for me a good “Bubblegum” Pop record. A band called The Rebel Light have made their way out West to settle down in LA and they recently started adding the iconic track by The Ronettes, “Be My Baby,” to their setlist for live shows, eventually liking it so much that they decided to do a studio version.
The end result is a good one and it sure is interesting to know that they went a bit tricky with their production techniques, recording the vocals in their bathroom and the drums in a shed. Hear it below.
