One of the coolest and most memorable parts of The Simpsons is the famous “couch gag” shown during the intro. The annual Treehouse of Horror episode, now on its 24th installment, will feature a special couch gag created by none other than Guillermo del Toro. The director behind the films Pacific Rim and Pan’s Labyrinth made one of the most memorable couch gags with this one, incorporating all sorts of icons from the Horror genre including the classics (Swamp Thing, Werewolf, Frankenstein, etc.), Edgar Allen Poe, and even Pepper from TV’s American Horror Story. Of course, the Pan’s Labyrinth adaption was pretty cool too.
