Kanye’s 6th studio album, Yeezus, won the first week sales battle for albums that came out June 18th. J. Cole’s Born Sinner was really the only person that had a good chance of taking down Kanye. Cole was just a little over 30k shy of selling more than Kanye. Mac Miller’s Watching Movies With The Sound Off sold an impressive 101k despite going up against two major artists. Official numbers will be released tomorrow. Congrats to all 3 artists. It was definitely a good week for hip hop.
