Dave Grohl to Host Sirius XM Radio Show

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl will host an exclusive, limited-run show to air on a number of SiriusXM music channels in support of his “Sound City” project.

“Dave Grohl Presents Sound City” will premiere this Thursday at 4:00 pm ET on Classic Vinyl, channel 26, in advance of the release of Grohl’s feature-length film documentary of the same name.

The weekly series on SiriusXM will revolve around Grohl telling stories about the music recorded at the iconic, now-defunct Sound City Studios in Los Angeles. The series will also showcase songs from some of the legendary albums recorded there including Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours,” Metallica’s “Death Magnetic” and Nirvana’s “Nevermind,” (this last album being from Grohl’s old band; the production of this album led to his introduction to the studio in 1991).

Each week will showcase a different era and artists.
