Recap: Rockie Fresh Live at The Metro (Electric Highway Tour)

Rockie Fresh made his way back to Chicago for a headlining show for the first time since signing with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group. The night was filled with performances not only from those that were on the bill but also from many other surprise guests. The night was kicked off by the always-entertaining YP, who gave yet another good performance. Quickly following him was DC native Phil Ade. Phil Ade got a few songs into his set before bringing out Lil Mouse to the stage to perform his track “Get Smoked” for the packed crowd.

YP-Who I Be

Million $ Mano surprised the crowd by bringing out Treated Crew to perform with him rather than putting on a DJ set. The crew performed songs like “All Black,” “LL Cool,” and even the new single off of their forthcoming album. Montreal’s DJ Lunice hit the stage right after to pump up the crowd, playing some of today’s biggest hip hop records and definitely got the crowd ready for the headlining act.

After introducing Lunice, Hustle Simmons stayed on stage to help introduce the headlining act of the night. Rockie Fresh proceeded to hit the stage accompanied by Casey Veggies to perform their track “Driving 88” off of Rockie’s last mixtape. Rockie brought out the second guest of the night King Louie immediately after to perform their song “How We Do” off of his last project as well. Rockie kept Louie on stage to perform “Val Venis” which got a great reception from the crowd. Rockie Fresh went on to perform new material for the crowd as well. He recited a new verse off of his forthcoming Electric Highway project and also performed a new song off of the project as well. Rockie kept the special guests coming by bringing GLC on stage to perform his verse on “Spaceship” and bringing Lil Durk on stage to perform “L’s Anthem.”
