On the final day of competitions Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and company get pass a strong Spanish team to secure the gold medal once more for Team USA.
Team USA beat the Gasol’s Spain 107-100, giving the latter the silver medal. Russia completed the winner’s podium by beating Argentina in the bronze medal match.
With 30 points and 9 boards in the gold medal match Kevin Durant was the top scorer, the same honor he took in the 2008 Beijing games’ final match. For the Spaniards, Pau Gasol was the top scorer with 24 points and added 8 rebounds in his side’s defeat.
