Make Music Chicago festival is going on in a neighborhood near you for the second year in a row. This is a city wide event where people of all walks of life, age, and taste come together to make music in various public locations. There are also a few performances by groups and artists taking place throughout the day. It’s said that almost 800 different artists and musicians performed last year. So if you’re anywhere near Lincoln Park Zoo, Daley Plaza, both Apple Store locations, Navy Pier, Humboldt Park, or the Music Institute of Chicago, you may wanna stop for a bit and check out some of the original music making that’s going to be happening. From noon to 1:15 pm Daley Plaza is going to be hosting two events: Sousapalooza and Show Tunes Sing-Along. From 5:15-9 pm, St. James Cathedral will be hosting the grand finale. A performance by Fulcrum Point New Music Project. So get out there and make some music today Chicagoans or catch an original performance by different artists expressing themselves through music.
