Jack White Tops Billboard Charts With Solo Debut

Jack White is finally top of the charts with his debut solo album!

The former front-man of the White Stripes’ latest venture sees him turned into a solo artist and has garnered immediate results. Jack White’s Blunderbuss has officially become the number one album on the US Billboard 200 chart. According to Nielsen Soundscan, White’s latest album moved 138,000 copies to help it reach the top of the charts.

Apart from topping the US Billboard 200 chart, Blunderbuss has also topped the U.K., Canadian, and Digital Albums charts and landed at number 3 in Germany.

What may be a surprise to many, this is Jack White’s first time at the top of the charts. The White Stripes’ Icky Thump debuted at number 2 after selling 223,000 copies in its first week back in 2007.
